About the Artist EVIE CONNELL
PAINTING AND ARTISTS
Evie was born in Saskatchewan, Canada but moved to California when she was 8. One of 7 children, she grew up in the middle of a large family. She enjoyed being outside in the rose garden or under the big walnut tree, and marveled at the way things grew… how perfectly balanced the petals are formed on a flower. Throughout her life she has had an awareness of color and a great love for all forms of beauty. Evie is gifted with a sense of style, inner strength and peace. Having started painting with oils in the 70’s, Evie’s busy life with husband and 3 children plus community activities, forced several years of other forms of art. She did home decorating, dressmaking, fashion shows and even modeling for a short time. When home life became quieter with time again to pursue her deep love, she began painting with watercolors. She is self taught with a few workshops and a sprinkling of lessons along the Way.
